SIENNA SPIRO Makes Tonight Show Debut With “Die On This Hill”

January 12, 2026 - An artist I discovered early last year after her debut project release, now a rising UK singer-songwriter, Sienna Spiro made her Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut on January 8, performing her breakout single “Die On This Hill", delivering a stripped-down yet powerful rendition, leaving Jimmy speechless and bringing a standing ovation to the crowd. Sienna took the stage not only accompanied by piano and a 12-piece string ensemble. The televised performance comes amid a major growth moment for Sienna. She opened on Sam Smith's NYC residency last year at the Warsaw. Now, she prepares for her first-ever North American headlining tour, which sold out within seconds, and whose single continues to climb global charts.

Spiro’s Tonight Show appearance featured a custom dress inspired by the show’s legacy, incorporating a vintage image of Johnny Carson in a nod to late-night television history. Styled by Edie-Rose Cleverly and created in collaboration with designers Ben Stone, lucaybk, and Jack Kaplan, the one-of-a-kind piece referenced the paper and poster dresses of the 1960s.

The Tonight Show performance follows a banner year for Spiro, who was recently shortlisted for the BRIT Awards’ Critics’ Choice for 2026 and made her UK television debut on Later… with Jools Holland. She has also appeared on The TODAY Show, been featured on the cover of NOTION, and was named Apple Music’s Up Next UK artist for November.

“Die On This Hill” has rapidly gained momentum worldwide, marking Spiro’s debut on the Billboard Hot 100, where the song currently sits at No. 69. The track has surpassed 145 million global streams, while reaching No. 23 on Spotify’s U.S. chart and No. 47 globally. Its success has been amplified by a series of live performances, including a recording from Warsaw captured during her six-night run opening during the residency last year.

Spiro released her debut EP, Sink Now, Swim Later, in early 2025. The project included the viral hit “MAYBE,” as well as tracks highlighted by Rolling Stone and Pigeons & Planes. She has since toured alongside Teddy Swims and Sam Smith, continuing to build a reputation for emotionally resonant live performances.

Spiro will launch her inaugural North American headlining tour on March 3 at the historic Troubadour in Los Angeles. The run concludes with two nights at New York’s Bowery Ballroom before continuing to the UK and Europe.
