“Whatever’s Left,” written by Herrera and produced by longtime collaborator Tiger Darrow, tells the story of a family unraveling through the eyes of a child caught in the middle. She explains, "People often write about divorce, but rarely from the perspective of the child inside it, 'Whatever’s Left' is about the complicated grief of that experience—when something fundamental fractures outside of your control, and all you’re left with is a memory.”

Originally from Philadelphia, Herrera was raised by Mexican and Argentinean parents, with music as a constant part of her daily life. The daughter of a psychotherapist and a Latin jazz musician, she grew up in an environment shaped by honest conversation and an eclectic musical education. Music remained a constant, though her early path led her into acting, which eventually brought her to Los Angeles before she began her songwriting career.
